We are all still basking in the glow of our wonderful weekend. I think everyone who came found old friends and enjoyed the memoribilia, films, music and really got in the whole affair.
But nothing like that happens if the silent background doesn’t happen. You were the one who put that room together getting the tables, bar, coffee, memoribilia, screens, music, dance floor all in one room which i really think set up success of the evening. You saw that everything was put in the right place and all worked smoothly. The tables & napkins in our colors set up the room and the light & mirror centerpieces cut down our work on decorations. The meal you ordered for us was delicious, everyone bragged on it.
I’m sure red oak is happy to have someone with your great expertise on staff. When mike & steward & i met with you right before the event, my whole mood changed. You had all the right answers. There is so much to do to get a reunion going, and i just felt like you took saturday’s big responsibility off my shoulders.
I don’t know how to tell what a joy it was to work with you on this event and how much i appreciate you. You’re just the greatest.

We wanted to thank you both for making our event such a success! We received a
number of compliments about the venue the following day. Julie noted that if it
wasn’t for Gail’s recommendations we would have had “a typical boring office
party”. And Curtis was constantly two steps ahead of me making sure the final
touches were in place before I had a chance to ask.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with and coordinating the details of the event with
Steph DeWaegeneer at ComedySportz, Samantha Rensel at Savory Celebrations,
Charles Willis at Pinot Palette and Cindy Kutch at Production & Event. They
were pleasant and professional and I would highly recommend ComedySportz, Savory
Celebration and Pinot Palette to people in gleethe future! One observation we made
after the event was - the Wii competition was the most expensive form of
entertainment and the least attended. No clue if it was the location since it
was away from the remaining ballrooms or perhaps the crowd wasn’t that
interested since the other two forms of entertainment were a hit, Again, nothing
either of you could have done about that only wanted to provide some feedback.
Once again it was an absolute pleasure coordinating this event with you and kudos
again to Curtis for being such a fantastic event coordinator!

"I just want to let you know how accomodating, professional, and helpful the Norris Center staff are. They instantly respond to anything with a smile and energy - from not being able to raise the screen (helped us do it and also brought in another rolling white board so that we don't need to do raise the screen to use the board) to helping us with adjusting the sound or AC , or having the food here at the exact time we request it each day.
Everything is set up every day when we arrive, including the first day.. The chairs are rolling office chairs with armrests and are very comfortable and adjustable. The wireless Internet access is instantaneous - no passwords, etc. needed. The walls have many outlets. Speaking of walls, there is a wonderful abundance of wall space for posting all the posters! The lighting is good. We are undisturbed by other groups.
The food has been delicious (thank you also to whoever picked out the menu!) and plentiful. Today they are giving us free ice cream in addition to our cookies at break because they felt we were inconvenienced by the parking lot being extra full today with another event.
The room is great. We also asked for 2 more tables so we could regroup into groups of 4 and in a minute (really, 1-2 minutes) they were set up with table cloths. It was easy to set up the computer with the projector, and even though they do not provide a document camera, we have done fine using the documents on Moodle that we wanted to show and using the white board for groups to share strategies (of course, we use posters for many activities).
It is easy to get a staff member to help with something and doesn't require walking across huge, nearly empty campuses in search of help like when we are located at a high school."

Lunch for 700+ was set out and served and all were served in about 10 minutes and the food was wonderful. Our Archbishop and Bishop attended the event and your staff had parking set aside for them and helped them to get to the event with little effort. The restrooms were kept clean (Against all odds) and we were able to pack up and get out with the cooperation of your staff.
