Born in Houston and raised in Katy, TX. Jesse started working in the event industry in 2018 as an event coordinator assistant. She gained knowledge in building timelines, finalizing event details, floral arrangement and decoration. Sh then moved up to becoming an event manager for a wedding venue in 2020. Jesse joined Norris in 2022 as Office Manager and then started her new role as Event Service Manager in August 2022, now moving to The ARK as Venue/Sales Manager. She loves helping to create great events. Her favorite part of an event is seeing guests relax and really enjoy their time at the facility. Sheh has recently returned to school to further her education in the Hospitality Industry. When not planning events she enjoys spending time with family and walking her two dogs.

Maria Aylward
Social Sales Manager – Katy
Maria’s journey in hospitality began in Denver’s vibrant hotel scene where she discovered her true calling to create memorable experiences for those passing through the city and returning guests. Transitioning to the Greater Houston area provided the opportunity to ignite her passion for weddings. This is where she honed her skills in décor set up, meticulous coordination and also serving as a concierge for wedding couples. Today, as the Sales Manager for The ARK by Norris, Maria is dedicated to curating exquisite celebrations that captivate and inspire, ensuring that every detail is flawlessly executed and unforgettable.

Matt Freeman
Event Service Manager – Katy
Matt Freeman joined Norris Conference Centers as an Event Services Manager in April of 2025. Matt will be working at both the Norris Centers Houston Westchase location and at The Ark in Katy, where he will oversee events and services. Prior to joining Norris, Matt spent over 20 years in the Food and Beverage industry serving in virtually every role – Server, Bartender, Director of Operations, and Owner and Operating Partner. Matt brings a passion for exceptional customer service, a commitment to a culture of excellence, and a Guest-first approach that enables him to anticipate all details, no matter how small. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
