Norris Training Systems, Inc., announces the promotion of Darin Kelley to the President’s position, which encompasses Norris Conference Centers, Red Oak Ballroom, and Catering by Norris.
Joining Norris as an AGM in San Antonio, back in 2006, Darin’s career progressed to becoming the General Manager of our CityCentre venue in 2009 and then Vice President of Food & Beverage in 2014. During that time he has been a key figure in the continued growth of our conference center operations and was instrumental in the 2012 start-up and on-going success of our catering business.
Dave Norris and Linda Hampton Norris will be moving into their new roles as CEOs and Chairman of the Board and will continue to remain very active in the business. This will free them up to pursue additional opportunities to grow both the conference center and catering business.
Norris Training Systems, Inc., started in as a single, small conference facility in Austin, Texas in 1990. Today, they operate five conference centers, doing business as Norris Conference Centers & the Red Oak Ballroom, with locations in Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth and two venues in Houston. With an international client base, their venues host thousands of meetings on an annual basis, along with hundreds of social events ranging from weddings to corporate holiday celebrations.
In 2014, Norris expanded their catering operations, Catering by Norris to include off-property catering, serving the greater San Antonio and Houston markets.
